Take time out to slow down and allow some self-care. On retreat at Monalea you’ll be treated to a warm, friendly and quiet space up the hills and above a forest, far from the clutter of everyday life.
Hiking around the beautiful south Wicklow mountains with stunning views clears the mind and energizes the body.  Re-connect with nature as you walk mindfully through our trees and breathe in the pure forest air. This practice is known as  ‘shinrin-yoku’, in Japan and is recognised as a form of preventative health care with the physical. mental and spiritual well-being it brings.
In the evenings candles light up the walls for evening practices and after a meal, yoga nidra by the crackling fire completes a typical day on retreat.

About Eileen 

Eileen holds the Senior Intermediate Level Three certification in Iyengar yoga and has been teaching the method for over 20 years. She has studied extensively with the Iyengar family in Pune, India over the years and brings that knowledge and excellence to her teachings. These retreats are suitable for people with at least a year of Iyengar yoga practice and you can expect an education in correct alignment, creative use of props and adaptations for people with any physical issues.
